mrsweezer, no one's mad, far from it. Trust me, you'd know it, if you'd pissed someone off .... it gets ugly. Honestly, I can't compare the sound or live show to what it is now, as I've never seen the band with John, though I have met him. I'm just partial to Brent, well .... you now know why ....

brent > maurer. imo

I know I'm getting off the subject of this thread but you guys are awesome!!!! I'm hoping a message could get to the band for me, (and I'm being subtle)I called the management office the other day to ask if Mike's wrist was healed and that he'd be playing that ole guitar of his since this is my first live SD concert, and also put in a song request. Please, please please play Pleasure Seeker at Red Rocks. You know we all have to fight temptation in order to survive but in that song we can pretend to let go and have some fun!!! And the music is awesome!

i say brent is a kick ass bass player and one hell of a nice guy also i spoke with him for a about 15 minutes at the royal oak michigan show on the last tour, cant wait for the next show in my area Brent seems to have so much fun on stage i will be on his side of the stage for many shows to come(no disrespect to 2 bags who i also enjoy very much although his entry wasnt due to anything pleasant RIP Dennis we miss you)

John is a good bass player and when I first saw him at Cal State Fullerton back in 90 he had a lot of energy and rocked. I did notice his enthusiasm diminish over the years. Its hard to stick with something for over 17 years I guess. Brent fits in perfectly IMHO

so i was at the seattle show last night, and was standin outside after the show, when all of a sudden Brent comes out of no where, kisses a girl and gets on the bus, it was the most random thing that happened to me there...and yes, i agree, brent is an awesome bass player, he did a extraordinary job at the show and on mike ness's solo albums as well... but i still would like to see john with social d again.

Brent for sure has a lot of energy on stage.
